ADD and Verify Ownership of your Website in Yandex Webmaster | Digital Marketing

Submit a Website to the Yandex Webmaster Tool



  1. Create the Yandex account here (If you don't have one).

  2. LogIn to Yandex webmaster.

  3. Add your website as shown in the below.

  4. Click on "Add" Button.
  5. Done.



Verify the Ownership of your website in Yandex Webmaster Tool

After Adding the Website to the Yandex, the next Immediate step is verifying the Ownership of that site. In Yandex, There are 5 different ways To Verify the Ownership of the website.


1. DNS Record Process.




Choose DNS Record Verification

  1. After adding your website, Yandex will provide multiple verification methods.
  2. Select “DNS record” as your verification method.
  3. Yandex will display a TXT record (e.g., yandex-verification: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx).

Add the TXT Record to Your DNS Provider

  1. Log in to your domain registrar or hosting provider’s DNS settings (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap).
  2. Find the section for DNS Management or Zone Editor.
  3. Click “Add Record” and select TXT Record.
  4. Enter the following details
    • Host/Name: @ (or your domain name)
    • Type: TXT
    • Value: Paste the verification TXT record from Yandex
    • TTL (Time to Live): Default (usually 3600 seconds)
    • Save the record.

Wait for DNS Propagation

  1. It may take a few minutes to 24 hours for DNS changes to propagate.
  2. You can check if the record is live using a DNS lookup tool like MXToolbox.

2. Meta Tag Adding Process.



  1. First, copy the above <meta> code.
  2. LogIn to Dashboard / Backend of your website (It may be Blogger / WordPress).
  3. Paste the above copied code between the <head> section.
  4. Click on "Update File".
  5. Now, get back to Yandex webmaster tool and click on "Verify".
  6. Done.
For Bloggers, It is the Only one and best method to verify your website in Yandex.

3. HTML File Uploading Process.



  1. Create a new text file (Notepad / WordPad).
  2. Copy the above <html> code.
  3. Paste the above copied code to the newly created file and save it as "yandex_<yourverification-code>.html".
  4. Now, Upload this text file to the root directory of your website hosting.
  5. Click on "Verify".
  6. Done.
This Option is available for the websites built with "WordPress" and other DNS Providers.
